Well if horses were never used for transport then in the olden days ill people would not be able to get to the hospital. In my opinion it was cruel to use horses to go long distances and for heavy labour. no
cars, buses, bikes, trains etc. are faster and boats, trains and planes can go across sea's whereas horses are stuck to one country
Horses continued to be used in daily life for farm people in the US into the 40s and are, of course still used today by the Amish for daily transportation. The Russians were still using horses during WWII. Many countries still use horses for transportation.
