In the Ming dynasty, Emperor Ming conquered many enemies and turned them into slaves. The mongols of the north theartened to overun the Chinese by their sheer numbers and so, Emperor Ming forced the slaves to build a wall so large that the Mongolians would have to climb it in order to get through. It would be 15 horses thick, 120 ft high, and 1500 miles long, streching across Ming's portion of China. The project took 57 years. Any slave or worker who died was buried under the establishment as the Chinese believed they would guard the wall form evil spirits. Emperor Qian finished the project(Ming died 22 years before completion).
