The response of the influential people of Makkah was hostile as they were bound to their ego it was so hard for them to disobey their forefather`s command and to stop following their steps.The Quraish were the leading tribe in the Arabian Peninsula.they were used to worship the idols that the Holy Prophet(saww) openly condemned.They took the teaching of Islam as an insult to their religion and the ways of their forefathers.
