Revenge - a desire among some to punish the South for causing the war
Concern for the freedmen - some believed that the federal government had a role to play in the transition of freedmen from slavery to freedom
Political concerns - the Radicals wanted to keep the Republican Party in power in both the North and the South.
Neither. Radical means something very unusual/extreme, therefore not the norm. If at least 85% of the country would call themselves either republican or democrat then that is a majority and neither is radical. If you want a radical party check out the Black Panther party, and many others, THAT's radical. Don't have an account here, my email is witchrock666@yahoo.com if you want to contact me.
The name for the South during the Civil War was the Confederate States of America... Some call it Dixie.
It depends on which Republicans, since not all members of their party hold the same views; and a lot depends on which region of the country you are asking about. It should also be noted that some of today's Republicans hold different views from those they held in the time of Abraham Lincoln. That said, you may be referring to comments made by Senator Rand Paul: in a TV interview several years ago, he made controversial remarks about the Civil Rights Act, saying he supported the theory of equal access, but believed private businesses should have the right to decide whom they would or would not serve. Some other Republicans have agreed that it should be left up to the business, rather than there being a national law. And in a similar vein, the Republicans on the Supreme Court were in the lead in the 2012 decision that basically gutted the protections the Voting Rights Act provided to minorities in the south. But it would be unfair to stereotype all Republicans as anti-civil rights. When the Civil Rights Act was originally passed during President Lyndon Johnson's administration, both Republicans and Democrats worked to get it passed. But times were changing, and the Republican party was becoming more hospitable to voices that opposed civil rights; by the 1970s, the south had moved from largely being Democrats to being almost entirely Republican as a result. However, while the extremists in any party get more media attention, the majority of Republicans, especially national politicians and business-owners, understand the importance of being fair to everyone -- not just white people. While there are indeed some local Republicans who have made racist remarks or expressed views that oppose the Civil Rights Act, it is doubtful that any national Republican politician or candidate today would call for its repeal.
Democrats sit on the right side .. it's sad that the republicans call them self right wing witch throws people off .. the Lord said fish from the right side of the boat . That's the democrats .. The Lord also.. said the love of money is the root of all evil .. And who loves moneys more then the republicans

A democrat.
they are called republicans!
Republicans are very much for military funding. If it weren't for Republicans and there were only Democrats, the U.S.A. wouldn't even have a military. Thank the Republicans in office and soldiers for letting you have freedom.
Loves Republicans, hates Democrats. That's why they call themselves "fair and balanced."
Total War- Apex
A surd, I suspect.
Actually, neither. They are sort of a third party but more closely aligned with the Republicans that the Democrats. I suppose one could call them ultraconservative Republicans.
The root of an irrational doesn't have any specific name - radical pi is just radical pi, for example.
Republicans or Democrats
It is called rationalising the denominator.
We call South Carolina south Carolina because that its name and its in a south direction.
