The settlers we're invaders to land where the Native Americans had lived for centuries. The English did not respect the people or the land they took. It was also a clash of cultures. When they landed in North America they saw lands without fences or houses so they assumed it didn't belong to others. The English also viewed the Native Americans with vast disrespect for their world, customs, and lives. The Native Americans did what most people would do and that was to fight for their way of life. If aliens came from outer space to earth and landed in your backyard you would fight for your life and ways.
In the simplest of terms Native American's were practicing a Socialist Republic and Americans practice a Capitalistic Democracy - these are polar opposite political positions.
