∙ 11y agoTsar Nicholas II had been kept captive with his family members since march 1917 when he abdicated. The tsar, Alexandra (his wife), Olga, Tatiana, Marie, Anastasia (there three daughters), Alexis (their son and old heir to Tsardom) and their dog were all murdered by The Bolshevik firing squad. This was to ensure the country never returned to Tsardom. This though did break out a civil war between he whites and the reds that lasted a couple of years, leaving Russia a communist society. ∙ 13y agoBecause he was a weak, useless leader, whose only claim for being leader of Russia was because his parents lead the country. WWI and the terrible conditions led to the revolution in the Russia, just as terrible conditions and a weak leader lead to the French Revolution and the downfall of King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette.
