Tea was one of the colonists favorite drinks, so thebtw tarted to protest. In the beginning they boycotted the tea, refusing to buy it. When Parlament didn't remove the taxes the sailors wouldn't unload the tea from the ships. So they called for soldiers to come to Boston. This infuriated many of the colonists living in Boston. One night Samuel Adams led a group of men, dressed as Native American Indians, to the tea ships sitting in Boston Harbor. They began cutting chests of tea open, and dumping them into the harbor. Parlament reacted by closing Boston Harbor until the colonists payed for the damaged tea. That was the beginning of the American Revolution.
