The Buddha saw, in a deep way, that he was not separate from anyone else. Furthermore, he saw that most living beings reside deep in suffering. His compassion for others (who, he knew, were really simply himself in another location) was so strong that he felt compelled to help others find their way out of suffering.
One of his teachings was, essentially, we have to meet him half way. And that means, we need to begin meditating ourselves. Have you chosen a meditation technique that feels right, and started down the path towards enlightenment?
