The Revolutionary War started because of the colonists anger toward the British. The British taxed the colonists on many things and took complete control over the colonists so they fought for freedom and eventually the colonists won.
The revolutionary war was a war between the colonists and Britain. The colonists were fighting for freedom, and Britain was trying to stop them from getting that freedom and independence.

The French and Indian war was about Britain fighting with the French over land west of the Appalachian mountains. Indians were involved as allies of the French because the French was trappers who traded with the Indians unlike the British who settled and took over the land. Washington was a minor officer for the British in this war, but gained some valuable military experience. The Revolutionary war was about the colonists fighting for independence against Britain. George Washington was the supreme commander of the colonial forces that won independence from Britain and made him a hero.
