The Industrial Revolution ended because the number of people with "blue-collar" jobs (jobs involving working in offices) had exceeded the number of people with "white collar" jobs (jobs like construction working that were more physical.) This started the Information Age, the age of "transferring data through different types of technology." This is the age we are in now.

There were many revolutions that followed the industrial revolution, but in the end it was the digital revolution that finally put an end to industrialists. Industrialism is an analog mentality in a digital world. Newspapers, publishers, oil refiners, piston engine automobile manufacturers and so on are all aspects of industry still stuck in an analog world while the digital revolution passes them by.
