The Prussians, along with the Germans, migrated to Australia in the 1830s to escape the persecution of King Friedrich Wilhelm the third of Prussia who wanted them to join the state church rather than to carry on their own religion. They had no religious freedom in their own country, so they chose to leave, and come to Austalia, where there were no such restrictions.
