∙ 17y agoThey had learned how to build "the bomb", had airplanes that could deliver them and eventually built missles that could deliver them even faster. USSR had enough missles that even if we could stop 90%, there would have been massive destruction in this country. Nikita Kruschev, former leader of the USSR, stated before the U.N., "We will bury you." They have the means, and their leader had just claimed that they would actually do it. Should we have ignored them? All rational thought says "no".
