because greedy white people felt entitled to the land which had belonged to the Indians for thousands of years. even though the Indians did nothing but give to us when we first arrived to welcome us. they taught the lazy white people how to farm maize, squash, potatoes and more and gave them buffalo, turkey and deer to name a few. some entire groups of settlers died because they refused to farm. seriously.
