Because the British Government ruled the Indians at the start of the 20th century, there was plenty of salt left in India, but then they had to buy it from the government instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
