It was all part of the plot. Jango Fett was a bad and he made the clones. So Jango and Darth Sidious a.k.a chancellor palpatine Most have talk during the time. Right? So in Ep. 3 it was the Clones turn to be bad! killing each Jedi other than Yoda and Obi Wan I Think.

Well, chronologically they go from 1-6: 1) The Phantom Menace 2) Attack of the Clones 3) Revenge of the Sith 4) A New Hope 5) The Empire Strikes Back 6) Return of the Jedi However, the order the movies were produced is different. They first made the last three, from 'A New Hope' to 'Return of the Jedi', then they went back and made the other three from 'The Phantom Menace' to 'Revenge of the Sith' to give the beginning story line.
