Do you suppose they felt he had more important things to attend to? They did not see how valuable his time was with the children. I think many adults overlook children and what their spiritual needs are and how they can be shaped for their continued growth.

The Bible does not tell us the stature of the disciples.
Most were fishermen and Matthew was a tax collector.
