What are the challenges facing environmental health in Kenya?

Some of the main environmental issues occurring are: Deforestation, Soil Erosion, Desertification, Water Shortage, Pollution, and Poaching. One thing that I also found, is that natural resources such as timber have now become a major issue with the increase of the population. People are now farming on land that was once filled with trees.

How did afghanistan's geographic location affect its history?

Asia is an extremely large land mass. To determine the influence of Geography, it is necessary to determine the part of Asia and the time of history. Japan consists of islands on the east side of Asia. They are difficult to invade. India is surrounded on 2 sides by ocean. It has high mountains to the north, desert to the west, and jungle to the east. An invader would need to come by sea, through the mountain passes, across the desert, or hack through the jungle. The main invasion route has been through Khyber Pass. Generally invaders have avoided India. The army of Tamerlane came through Khyber Pass. England had a small army in India in the 1800s. Two armies destroyed each other and the English army took over India by sheer luck. Likewise an invasion of China needed to come from the north. The people living north of China lived as hunters and herders. Those occupations usually do not bring the structure to their society required to conquer a large nation. Briefly the Mongols organized for that purpose. IRAN had ocean to the south and desert to the east. Invasion would mainly come from the north or west. IRAQ was part of the fertile crescent. It was mainly vulnerable to the north. Armies generally avoid mountains and deserts. If they come by sea, they generally start with a trading post or with one city. They expand from there.

Why is shearing usually done during the hot weather?

Sheep are shorn annually to remove their wool otherwise it becomes an animal welfare issue because their "behind" will get dirty causing flies to lay maggots there, which causes sickness/disease. or because as farmers say- in winter mother sheep(ewes) have their wool so they dont care about their lambs
