∙ 13y agothe thick leather gloves and coat were used as a way of protecting the doctor so they wouldn't get the plague by touch. the mask was and early gas mask, the beak of the mask would be filled with rose petal and other herbs to dispel what they called "bad air" would be cleansed before the doctors breathed it in. they also carried a stick so the Would not have to touch plague victims.
