There are countless reasons for the beginning of the Renaissance but the most notable is the stress the Catholic Church was under at the time. As people began to lean more towards scientific views the general populous began to question the Church's authority and it lost general approval and authority. The Renaissance began in Italy, which is explained by its closeness to foreign scholars.

Compare a work of art from Leonardo da vinci and michelangelo buonarroti?

the difference between michelangelo and Leonardo da vinci work was that Leonardo was more of a general painter while michelangelo was more of a religious painter and architect. michelangelo had based his work on his faith in the high renassaince of Italy, and showed creation, redemption, damnation and salvation. although Leonardo did not base all of his work on his faith he still had contributed some work on the catholic religion as well as on the bible stories. one of Leonardo's most famous religious peices was the mona Lisa and the last supper. he also did other important ones such as the virgin of the rocks and many more. while as michelangelo had based all his work on religion had done many masterpeices like the creation of the earth and his sculpture of the david based on the bible story of david and goliath. also both of these atists and archetics were very important to the pope and the medici family and they were also of the importance of the high renassaince in itlay.
