The story of Romeo and Juliet ended in death because they were secretly married, but then Romeo was banished for killing Juliet's cousin, Tybalt. While he was gone, Juliet's parents want her to marry a count named Paris. She doesn't want to so she goes to Friar Lawrence for help. He gives her a potion that will make her appear dead. She takes it and is brought to the tomb where she is supposed to awaken and meet Romeo, but the letter explaining all of this to Romeo never made it to him. He hears of Juliet's "death", goes to her tomb, sees that she appears dead, and drinks a potion that kills him. Juliet wakes up moments later, sees Romeo dead, and stabs herself with his dagger.
The story ended tragically with both of them dead. But the good thing that came our of their death was that it ended the feud between the Capulets and the Montague.

Love Story revolves around the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet, however Taylor puts a twist; rather than Romeo and Juliet parting through death, Romeo and Juliet run away together and get married in Swift's version, ending with a "happily ever after."
Throughout his play, Shakespeare uses death to move his story along. He does this with actual deaths, which cause problems for the lovers, and through premonitions and dreams of death. Both Juliet and her Romeo exhibit these premonitions/dreams.

An example of foreshadowing in act 2 of Romeo and Juliet is when Romeo expresses his fear of attending the Capulet's party, stating that he has a feeling the night's events will lead to his untimely death. This foreshadows the tragic fate that awaits both Romeo and Juliet in the story.
