Caius was the only one who wanted Bella dead, mainly because she was a liability to the vampire world. Aro wanted to let her live so he could see what her power would be like when she was a vampire. I doubt Marcus even cared.

The Volturi wanted to kill Bella because they saw her ability to resist their attempts to control her through her shield as a potential threat to their authority. They feared that her power could lead to others also defying them, so they sought to eliminate the perceived threat by killing her.
