When you invade some ones territory there are bound to be disagreements about water rights fences and many other things so to convince the aboriginals in the futility of resistance you simply shoot those that haven died from the disease you have introduced. The whites didn't even concede that aboriginals were people.

What was Governor Phillip's intention in relation to the Aborigines?

Governor Arthur Phillip's intentions towards the Aborigines of Australia were peacable, but misguided. He sought to bridge the gap between the black and white cultures, but his method for doing so was based on the belief that white culture was superior, and that the Aborigines should become "civilised" by contact with white people. Thus, he kidnapped a couple of aboriginal men to use as intermediaries between the two cultures. In doing so, he caused Bennelong of the Eora people to become totally alienated from his own people, while never really gaining acceptance in white society.
