Why doesn't utopia work?

Utopia will always fail based on the fact that humans are not able to maintain a moral, financial or educational equality. People will always want more, or someone else's toys... Competition is a core human quality of Survival of the Fittest.

Utopian societies either expect people to BE perfect, or intend to FORCE you to be perfect.

But people aren't perfect, and when it comes right down to it, we don't want to be. We'll fight rather than submit to somebody else's idea of "perfection", even when it is "for our own good", because we don't agree on what "perfect" looks like.

Attempts to achieve "perfect societies" like the Soviet Union, or like Prohibition, or the current war on drugs; these are always doomed to failure, because we don't agree on what's perfect.

Utopias fail because people want the world to be perfect and they also want people to perfect but we were not created to be perfect.
