At least three possible answers.
The sink has the plug in the drain or the drain is blocked in some fashion and --
1. The hot tap leaks or has not been turned off correctly,
2. The cold tap leaks or has not been turned off correctly,
3. The temperature difference between the material of which the basin is constructed and the surrounds is such that condensation forms inside the basin,
but then a couple more occurred to me ---
4. Some other person puts the water in it - to annoy you,
5. An animal which expels water puts the water in it (i.e. pees in it)
and,
I'm sure someone else can think of more answers. . . .and you didn't say whether it is clean or contaminated water.
When two fixtures share a common drain and the drain is clogged the lowest fixture of the shared drain will be the one to overflow.
How big is the kitchen sink
when you fill your kitchen sink with water and dirty plates...the number of plates in the sink is the total plate count in water. lol
The first four compartments didn't fill, but it was after that when they did.
it would depend on the size of the sink, but most average sinks would be able to hold three gallons of water :)
It could. An average single tub kitchen sink is about 25 litre.
The easiest way would be to capture the sink water at full flow and fill a 5gallon bucket while timing yourself. When the buckets full then divide the time it took by 5 and you have your GPM.
a flood then the water goes through
If they are empty, sure. If they are full??? I don't know. If you have one, fill the kitchen sink with water and find out for your self. Nothing like a little experiment.
