What happened to splitting questions?
Nothing happened to splitting questions. If a question has alternates, you can split them off.

Who Asked the Question?To find out who asked a specific question, do the following:At the top of the blue box on the left-hand side of the page, you will see "Question tools" (under the "Hi [username]" when they are logged in).Click on "Question history." Yes, and I believe if you ask a question and merge it into an appropriate question then it still counts as a question asked.

Yes, that's the best thing. It's almost impossible to glue the split ends back together, and if you don't cut them off the hair will continue to split. You don't have to cut off much more than just the split end.

To, request an alternate to be split into a separate question you can leave a message on any Supervisor or CA's Message board and tell them what question, and what alternate to split from it.
