Because he was according to The Bible (the first human). You can't expect him to be smart enough to plan ahead.

Above not my opinion .

I say Adam even he is the first human .His intelligent and knows all answers and consequences.Life in heaven is different with life on earth. His young and lack of experience .But he obeys God command .He refuse to ate the forbidden fruit but eve seduce him and coax him to ate the forbidden fruit. Eve actually tricked by eblis (azazel) which hide in the serpent mouth ( Serpent who guard the heaven gate before cursed by God for helping eblis trick Eve to ate those fruit). Serpent lost his leg and arm for his sins. "

Thats why serpent doesn't have arm and leg . They're enemy to human. hmm i read it somewhere on the net.

A:

Satan, described in the form of a serpent (which is not a description of what he looks like, but what he is like ), deceived Eve into believing that if they (herself and Adam) ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that they could be like God and know what He knows. Adam and Eve eating from the tree of knowledge resulted in shame, guilt, exclusion from the garden, and separation from the tree of life. They no longer had access to it. This tree will be accessible to those who belong to Christ at the end (Revelation 2:7; 22:2,14).

it's honestly quite annoying how people place the blame all on eve.

rather it was the devil who is and always had been against the people who influenced adam to eat from the tree in order for god to be angry with him.

(the devil hated people from the start as he is evil himself so it's of no surprise for why he would want adam to eat the fruit)

just as a person does bad, haves bad thought e.t.c. similarly adam had these thoughts from the devil and so eventually he ate the fruit.

Because Adam could not say "No" to Eve.

Genesis says that Eve gave some of the fruit to her husband who was with her. Why didn't he stop her? 1st Timothy says that the woman was deceived by the snake but that the man was not deceived. Again, why didn't he stop her? Although any answer would be guessing, here is the most reasonable speculation.

While Adam and Eve were highly intelligent, they was naive. Apparently, even though Adam had been with God, something over-rode his mental perception that the snake was not telling the truth. Looking at what we know of the scene and of young men in love, that something must have been the presence of Eve.

Consider that Adam had reviewed every living creature on the earth and found no counterpart for himself. In a world filled with life, and even with visits from God Himself, Adam was EXTREMELY alone in his humanity. This condition must have lasted long enough for it to have affected Adam to the point where God comments that it is not good for the man to be alone.

Adam had never encountered ANYTHING like Eve. He was madly in love, and she was the fulfillment of his joy, but (like most young men) he was naive in this state. We all know the stupid things men will do for the sake of a woman: Wars have been fought, kingdoms lost, and fortunes squandered. Therefore, it seems that Adam could not deny Eve anything she wanted -- even the forbidden fruit. Like most men, he was blinded by her beauty. If Eve was deceived, Adam's sin was his idolatry of Eve.

If Adam had more experience (and had this experience taught him to not be blinded by Eve's beauty), it is more likely that he would have stopped Eve. It could be reasonably speculated that even if Eve had eaten the fruit (had Adam not been able to prevent it), Adam would have taken Eve before the presence of God, trusting that God would restore Eve. Then, having saved Eve, he would then have returned to deal with the snake. Instead, not being able to be separated from her, he made the decision to go into the Fall with her.

God's instructions to Adam was to tend and keep the Garden. "Tend" means to "care for it's well-being." "Keep" refers to guarding the Garden from an external enemy. While Eve was indeed deceived, it is Adam who bears the responsibility for the Fall of Mankind due to his failure to properly guard the Garden from the enemy.

Whom did Adam and Eve affect by eating from the forbidden tree?

A:The fruit that Adam and Eve ate in the story of the Garden of Eden was the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. By eating this fruit, they became like gods (Genesis 3:22: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us..."), but had also become aware of their mortality. The only difference between them and God (or the gods) was that they must die. By eating of the Tree of Life, they would then also be immortal. The story tells us that God was unhappy that humans had become so like the gods and would have been even less happy if they became immortal as well. In Genesis 3:24, God drove out the man and placed at the entrance to the Garden of Eden, cherubim and a flaming sword to keep [block] the way of the Tree of Life. The story of Adam and Eve does not tell us why God had not wished Adam and Eve to be godlike, but their disobedience clearly affected him. Adam and Eve were sent from the Garden and could not be allowed back for fear they would eat of the second tree.
