It did in many ways
This is the historic agreement in the Northern Ireland peace process that was signed between the British and Irish governments on 10 April 1998 - which happened to be Good Friday that year. It was also supported in a referendum and only one political party chose to oppose it. Read the full text in the Web Link to the left.

Originally it meant Holy Friday, but was translated to Good! It's still good, in that the work of redemption was completed that day on the cross.
That is a matter of debate. The Anglo Irish Agreement stayed in place even though the campaigners were against it. It was one element that led to the further steps in the Good Friday Agreement. So things have moved forward from then and even brought some of those people, most notably Ian Paisley and his political party, along with it.
because they didnt do good work
The Good Friday agreement is working because both sides in the conflict have realized that they must work together, for their own future and that of generations to come. There is no future from guns or bombs, only pain and suffering. However, there is much more to be done, or the flame of hope could yet fail. As I write, there is still Hate on the streets in Northern Ireland, Churches have been damaged, Orange lodges have been burnt to the ground, or wrecked. Those who will be marching on Monday next, (13th this year, because the 12th is on a Sunday) must respect the other side who fear these marches, and the Nationalists must respect the Unionist tradition. The Good Friday agreement was voted on by all the people of Ireland, the first time since the 1918 general election when the majority voted for independence. Both sides in Ireland ( the whole island) are drawing closer together, and working together. The UK government needs to support this, and all governments in the Celtic Isles, Britain and Ireland must work together for all the people of these islands. The Belfast agreement is not an end, it is just a beginning, and needs the Prayers and Support of all of us.
Yes, Friday abstinence is still the law. However, people are now allowed to either abstain from eating meat or do some other form of penance or good work on Friday instead.
they didnt work becuz they felt that people lower than them had to do their work for them. they wanted gold but they didnt want to look for it themselves.
Yes
Fridays can be good or not so good, depending on what happens during the day. It signals the end of the work week for many people and they begin winding down and looking forward to the weekend.
Get StartedThe Work for Hire Agreement is a document under which a "Service Provider" contracts to provide services for a "Company." Under this agreement, the Service Provider is an independent contractor with respect to the Company, and not an employee of the Company. This Agreement should not be used if the Service Provider is really an employee of the Company. In many respects, the Work for Hire Agreement is simply a short-form version of a Consulting Agreement. The Work for Hire Agreement should be signed by both parties and becomes effective as of the date inserted at the beginning of the Agreement.
