Because we were never in war with them. We were really only in war with Japan, because of the bombing of pearl harbor and stuff. Germany just sorta got in our way.
Germany declared war on America in December 1941. Atomic bombs weren't used because Germany surrendered in May 1945, before atomic weapons had been produced.
It is often said that they had very little solid information about Auschwitz till the summer of 1944 and disrupting the Holocaust didn't figure anywhere in the Allies' priorities. Moreover, it was not the case that Jewish organizations were clamouring for the bombing of Auschwitz. Please see the link.
because by the time the bomb was ready the Germans were pretty much beaten already.
Atomic bomb was succesfully tested in July 1945 after Germany already surrendered in May 1945.
Allies did not bomb the camp because they got the necessary information too late.
It was not ready when the Germans surrendered. By the time it was ready there was no reason to use it on them.
The Germans surrendered before the bomb was tested successfully.
because they like to get there revenge
it was not a viable target. ___ Auschwitz III (aka Monowitz or Buna) was in fact bombed - because it was a chemicals factory ... Please also see related question.
yes. it didnt matter who they had. they took everyone and killed almost everyone. it didnt matter what age.
To many lives would have been lost and they did not want to lose any more Jews to Hitler.
There were a couple of minor air raids on the chemicals factory in Auschwitz III (aka Buna or Monowitz).
Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet Army on 27 January 1945. The location and function(s) of the camp had been known to the Allies since June 1944 (at the latest).
Auschwitz was never bombed by the allies before, during of after the liberation.
NOBecause, Auschwitz was filled with Inmates constantly so if they allies bombed Auschwitz. So once the allies bombed Auschwitz and it subcamps, they would of killed atleast 500,000+ Inmates along with 2,000 SS Guards and other Staff working at Auschwitz which was part of the Nazi or the SS. Once this happens, Likiely that countries like USSR and China would likely to join Axis because, they wouldn't want to be part of an group which killed Hundreds of Thousands of people just to stop other people getting murderd. Also, the Allies would have been procicuted by the EU and UN after the war for Crimes against Humanity and likely to get fined.YESBecaise, Auschwitz was an network of Death Factories which killed 4.25 Million people including 1.3 Million Jews. It's likely what governments would say is that if they Bombed Auschwitz then either; 1. The Nazis would Stop the Holocaust and the processing of Mass murders. 2. It would show the weakness in the Nazi ideal for an Pure Germany, so other neutral and Axis countries like Sweden and Italy would join or atleast ingage with the Attacks from the Western and Eastern Front. You cant win a war without killing inocent people, so for every civilian dead is an point closer to Victory.
Japan bombed Pearl Harbour
