What way? I am wearing a dress shirt, dress pants and nice black shoes as I work in my office.
Seriously, Buddhists fall into two categories, Lay people and Monks/Nuns.
Lay people wear whatever they like whenever they like. There is no Buddhist dress code, hence my answer above. I tend to wear unflashy but neat causal office attire (solid color shirts and pants) and the same at home.
Monks and Nuns, on the other hand, wear robes. The reason for this is two fold. First, the simple robes identify that person as a Monk/Nun, secondly, it is traditional. OK, maybe there are 3 reasons; the third is that the simple clothes re-enforces the idea that happiness is not found in material things.
For lay Buddhists, like myself, I wear normal everyday clothes. Buddhists Monks and Nuns wear robes that are traditional to the lineage they belong to.
Buddhists don't dress in certain ways. They are more worried about if the way they dress will offend or upset anyone, so they can wear what they want. They could wear a corset and a short skirt if they wanted to, and any reason they wouldn't want to would be incase it angered others. Buddhism has no rules if you aren't a monk or nun.
Why do you dress the way you dress? Because you like it.
Why do you dress the way you do? Because that's how you want to? They dress that way because they can and feel like ir.
Any colour they choose. There is no instruction to Buddhists to dress only in (insert name of any colour) Every Buddhist ive seen that have the religion clothes on ( you know) wear orange.
way of life for buddhists
Not all Buddhists wear red and yellow robes, in the same way that all Christians do not dress in black with white Roman collars like priests or wear habits like nuns. The robes are reseved for the lamas, monks and nuns. The average Buddhist lay person fits in well with the culture he lives in - jeans in the USA etc.
Buddhists in SIngapore tend to dress like everyone else in Singapore. But then, wherever Buddhists are they tend to dress like othes in their local culture -blue jeans in the USA, saris in India, and nothing at all at nudist camps. The only exception may be monks or lamas ... but even then they are often seen in "normal" clothes
Yes as long as you are wiling to live the way Buddhists live
Buddists dress in a way that is suitable for the occation.
bedouins dress with a long black dress (with designs)all the way to the ancle.
All Buddhists do not eat lamb. All of any group do not act the same way. Some Buddhists are vegetarian, some have more omnivorous diets. The only restraint is that a Buddhist should not specifically require an animal be killed for him to eat.
