If you are a Christian, its important to preach because you are a follower of Christ and he set the perfect example in preaching. During his time on earth, his main objective was to teach others about God's Kingdom.
(Mark 1:38) But he said to them: "Let us go somewhere else, into the village towns nearby, that I may preach there also, for it is for this purpose I have gone out.
(Luke 4:43) 43 But he said to them: "Also to other cities I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth."

∙ 13y agoChristians share their faith as an act of obedience to the great commission, which appears at the end of the book of Matthew and the beginning of the book of Acts. While the two records of it have slightly different wording, the core aspect of being sent out into the world to be witnesses for Christ and "make disciples of all nations" remains.
Aside from that, there is also an honest concern in many, hopefully all, such situations. Christians believe that those who do not come to trust in Christ will end up in Hell after death, and this is something Christians simply don't wish to see happen to other people. The only means we have to prevent it, however, is to offer those around us the information and opportunity to turn from it.
