Why do Christians think Grace and the Holy Spirit are important in their lives?

Grace is undeserved favour given to us from God. This is important to Christians because without God's grace we would be cut off from a relationship with God. There is nothing a person can do to come close to God or restore their relationship with God.
Ephesians 2:5 that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved (see Ephesians 2:8 here: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; itis the gift of God.")
The Holy Spirit is important because God gives Christians His Holy Spirit to led and guide them. Without the indwelling Holy Spirit a Christian would be back to being controlled by their sin nature. -which is the nature of Satan, the 'god' or ruler of this world (see Ephesians 2:2).
The Apostle Paul speaks of this in Romans chapter 6:
Romans 8:5 Those who live as their human nature tells them to, have their minds controlled by what human nature wants. Those who live as the Spirit tells them to, have their minds controlled by what the Spirit wants.
Romans 8:6 To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace.

Then you have the Holy Spirit. He lives in those who have accepted Chirst, not in a wierd, "I am God too!" way but in an, "I am here with you always way." The Holy Spirit is our guide and our conscience. None of the three are more important than the other. They all serve their own purpose without which we would be nothing.
