That is a hard question to answer. Many researchers have tried to determine why the Earth even has a moon. Much is known about how moons form, the effects moons have on their host planets, and much more. As to why we don't have more or less moons, cannot really be answered. You would have had to watch the solar system evolve to answer that.
Our Earth has only the one moon.
The Earth has only 1 moon.
The earth has one moon which circulates the planet regularly on a moonthly basis. Also, the are many people on the earth with the surname Moon.
one, the moon
The earth has 1 moon.
There is no moon IN the Earth. There is one moon ORBITING AROUND Earth.
The Moon is a lot smaller then the Earth.
umm... the moon is the only moon Earth has :)
Earth has about 50 times the volume of the Moon (and 81 times the mass of the Moon).
There are many differences between the Earth and Moon. For instance, the Earth is a planet, while the Moon is a satellite. Also, the Earth is occupied, while the Moon is unoccupied. Finally, things grow on the Earth, but they do not grow on the moon.
The moon has many craters, and it does not have the atmosphere that the Earth has. There are lunar seas known as maria on the moon.
Perhaps. There are many myths surrounding the moon and Earth that explain the Earth's tilt and its imperfect shape.
