I am not sure if that is a problem for your car or not. Does your car come with a panic button for your alarm? If it does, there is a chance that the doors open in case you hit the panic button and the lights go off to alert people around you. Check with the manufacturer of the alarm.

If you haven't already done this, try holding the trunk release button down for a few seconds on your remote. Toyota set it up this way so that you don't accidentally open the trunk when you mean to lock the doors. There is also a button inside the glovebox that will disable or enable that function. try pressing it and then use the remote.

You can open the driver's door and press the "unlock" switch on the armrest. This should unlock all the doors, including the rear hatch. If it doesn't, your solenoid that operates the lock needs to be replaced. For that, see your Subaru dealer.
