This is different in different faiths, see below.
Christian Perspective
You have to be saved. You have to ask God to come into your heart and you have to act like a christian! You have to go to church to learn more about him and you need to get a bible and read about him!
General Answer
Most religions that propose a bifurcated afterlife (the good go to "x" place and the bad go to "y" place) do so with the understanding that a person needs to not only say something, but do something that would merit the distinguishing. In Christianity, it is the surrender of a person to the Will of Christ. In Islam, it is the surrender of a person to the Will of God. In either case, a person gives up complete free will (being able to do whatever they want) in order to be "good enough" to achieve salvation. Merely requesting salvation without performing the requisite act does not serve as a viable way to get into the better place, because it would make the moral requirement non-functional.
Islamic Perspective
You can't go to heaven quickly, you will be judged to go to Hell or to Heaven.
Allah wants to put everyone to heaven, but people don't want to go to heaven. Allah is inviting people to heaven every moment, but as it is seen, people are rejecting this invitation.
The life of this world is a trial. We are in a trial. Allah is examining us, if we are worthy of going to heaven or not.
You asked that "Why Allah doesn't put me to heaven?". Where do you know from? Going to heaven will take place after we die and after the Day of Judgement. You continue saying Allah to put you in the heaven and show it in your actions that you really want it.
Love Allah, because Allah says that "I will not meet those who don't want to meet Me!" A person wants to meet someone who s/he loves. How can you love Allah? Allah says in the Qur'an that:
"Say (O Muhammad pbuh), 'If you love Allah, then follow me, so that Allah loved you too.'"
Follow prophet Muhammad's pbuh teachings and want the salvation from Allah. It is Allah's promise that you will meet Him in the heaven....
