Why do Jehovah witness's tell there kids the truth about Santa Claus?

First, we do not celebrate Christmas, and second, we do not lie to our children. We prepare our children so they understand why we do not participate in the holiday, and how to be respectful of those who do.

Jehovah's Witnesses are strong believers in 'truth'. Not only do we 'believe' truth - - we actually TEACH 'truth'. We teach truth about many things. We teach people that there is NO TRINITY. We teach people that there is no such thing as 'eternal torment'. We teach people that there are many lies and deceptions taught about Christmas.

So Jehovah's Witnesses do NOT teach their children about Santa.

When our children come home from school and ask us about Santa; we tell them the truth. We tell them that people in other religions lie to their children about Santa. We tell them that their religion thinks it's ok to lie and deceive little children. We tell them that that is 'False Religion', or you might say, 'deceptive religion'. We tell our children that the Bible says that Liars will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God. We tell our children that God wants us to visit other people, to teach them about the importance of 'truth'. As our children grow up, they are so glad that as their parents we did not lie to them like other people lie to their children. We also tell them that to many people, the truth hurts. I suppose that about sums it all up in a nutshell.
