This is a problem that cuts along sectarian lines. It is Sunni Muslims (exclusively) who have an issue with drawings of Muhammad as a general proposition. Shiite and Ibadi Muslims oppose offensive or disgraceful depictions of Muhammad, but have no issue with images of Muhammad and visits to Shiite or Ibadi majority Islamic countries will reveal numerous votive images of Muhammad, up to the present day.
Sunni Islam went through an iconoclastic phase in the 9th century which led to the eventual banning of Muhammad's likeness under the fear that it could be idolatry. Many Islamic pieces of artwork containing Muhammad's face were defaced by iconoclastic Sunnis. However, there were periods when this feeling waxed and waned, leading to later Sunnis occasionally drawing Muhammad. There has been an upsurge in Sunni iconoclasm following the Muhammad cartoon controversies since Sunnis see the depictions as sacrilege.
There is no such prohibition. As you can see, Ibn Khaldun is pictured on the Tunisian 10 Dinar Bill.-----------The issue is with displaying images of the Prophet Muhammad, however, it would be incorrect to suppose that there no pictures of Muhammad. There are numerous pictures of Muhammad, tastefully drawn by Muslims throughout the centuries (as well as horrible caricatures by Non-Muslims). For example, there is this picture of Muhammad, which is an anonymous illustration of al-Biruni's The Remaining Signs of Past Centuries, depicting Muhammad prohibiting Nasi' during the Farewell Pilgrimage from a 17th century Ottoman copy of a 14th-century (Ilkhanate) manuscript (Edinburgh codex)..The problem with Muhammad's image cuts along sectarian lines. In Islam, it is not allowed to draw or try to depict in any form of drawing the God, Allah, the prophets or any companions or people close to the prophet. Also, one should not try to draw the creations of God. This is why there are no icturs of prophet Muhammad.
Trick question. It did not!
The largest two Islamic groups are Shi'a and Sunni Muslims. These two groups now have quite different beliefs, but the original split was caused by the question of who was to succeed Muhammad. The Sunni's believe that Abu Bakr was his rightful successor, but the Shi'a believe that Muhammad chose his cousin Ali.
The Indian Muslims are the citizens of India. They are supposed to be loyal to India. Thus they don't consider kashmir issue as important as the Pakistanis consider it.
What divided the Muslims cristians and Jews
Some muslims decided to follow the umayyad's(Sunnis) while others decided not to(Shi'a).
Creating picture is a different issue other than worshiping of pictures/idols. Muslims can create pictures.
Hatred is against all God religions; including Islam religion; and teachings. All God religions call for peace, love, and cooperation. Additionally, regardless of religious teachings, hatred is a strongly negative and undesirable action. It is far more important to discuss problems and avoid lasting and detrimental hatreds. The main issue is that Muslims believe in all God prophets and all God holy books while Christians and Jews do not believe in prophet Muhammad and do not believe in the God Holy book Quran. Hence, some of them; in addition to some of the sikhs, Buddhists, and Atheists; may hate Muslims as a way to block or resist the trend that many non Muslims convert to Islam by progress of time when recognizing its logistics and authenticity. However, Muslims; in obedience to their Quran and prophet Muhammad; teachings never hate other non Muslims and required to cooperate with them for the benefit of humanity.
The issue that is currently being discussed in the court will depend on the particular court. There are so many issues that are discussed in courts every single day.
the issue that divied them was they developed differences
This is open to interpretation, so take each view with a grain of salt.Answer 1I am not a Muslim, so my view may be off on this but I suspect that there would be three general categories of messages/letters that Muslims would send Muhammad: Adulation, Clarification, and Assistance.Adulation letters would be letters that praise Muhammad, his qualities, and/or his activities. This may be followed by some discussion as to how Muhammad's qualities or activities were an inspiration in the Muslim in question.Clarification Letters would be those seeking to determine which traditions or laws of Islam are correct. There would be questions over whether Muhammad actually did all of the events in the Biography of the Prophet by Ibn Ishaq, to confirm that the current Qur'an is the exact one he revealed, whether particular controversial fatwas (religious opinions) are valid or invalid, and numerous similar questions. These would be almost exclusively on Islamic Law or Islamic History.Assistance letters would be seeking spiritual or philosophical guidance on a particularly sensitive personal or societal issue. Since Muhammad was an communal leader and arbitrator while alive, as well as being chosen by God to be a prophet, Muhammad would be seen as an impartial and morally-strong party to oversee the issue and deliver a positive resolution.
