at this point i would give an example.
if you compare two types of girls u would get two different results.
1) if a girl wears tight jeans or mini skirts or something like that, she will attract people . and then if some guy or someone teases her she would blame the guy but not herself being dressed in this way.
2)if girl wears simple dress not that tight or which does not attract the attention of other people then no would say anything to her, because she knows the way she is dressed.
Islam is such a religion which cares about the self-respect of Muslims.
After this its upto the person that in which way would he or she gets dressed up.
People from hot, desert counties, know it is better to fully cover yourself than be burnt by the sun. Perhaps the dress is really just cultural for practical reasons (like Asian girls who use umbrellas when it is sunny) and was included in religion. It could be the case that dressing your wife completely was a way of 'protecting' her and keeping her skin soft and light.
