no my fish swim backwards all the time,my other guppies always chases it .
They dont always die and its probaly because of stress of two many fish, not enough hiding spots, or other fish or diseases. By the way sorry about your dead molly. Hope this saves some fish' lifes.

Fish do not get fat. They do not over eat and they always exercise if they are kept correctly. It is insufficient swim space and bad water care/hygene that usually kills fish in aquaria.

Well, the fish needs water to survive because its gills need to be wet to work, so it dries out when not in water and it can't breathe. Having said that, some fish seem to be able to survive postal journeys wrapped in damp moss!
no, they always float to the top. b/c, there body has no more food & stuff. its just air. so that's why they float. ;)
