If your ABS emergency brake light and the track control light show up on the dashboard, you are having a brake problem.
If the light stays on when the emergency brake is not engaged, this indicates the brakes are getting low and need to be replaced.
no it does not.unless you disengage with the brakes, not the control button
You have air in your brake lines. Have the brakes bled.
When the traction light is on you have the traction control turned on in your vehicle and traction control is activated. Traction control is applying brakes to a wheel that losing traction.
it means either your emergency brake is on or your low on brake fluid
It's the brake light, either your emergency brake is on or you need to have your brakes serviced....check out the recall on the ABS in your Escape.
Your emergency brake is to tight on the back brakes, which is not allowing the ABS to work properly. that's why both lights are on. Good Luck
The "Emergency Brake Light" IS A FAULT WARNING LIGHT not park brake light onlyThis means if the LIght stays on THERE IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM with your brakes. You brakes need to be checked before you have a COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE and crashTake you Van to a qualified person BEFORE YOU DIE
Because the e brake is hooked into your braking system and that system has a problem.
You should suspect the rear brakes for this one...maybe at their wear limit and keeps the light on....Possibly the front brakes...This IS a 2000 model.
the abs light means you have a problem in your brake system it also means get it to a shop and have it fixed before the brakes fail and you are in a wreck as for feeling like it wants to go when the brakes are applied that in itself tells you there is a problem if the brakes are inadequate while stopped, how is it going to stop you in an emergency
There could be an issue with the anti lock brakes if it equipped with them. It could also be that the brake fluid is low or the switch for the emergency brake is broken.
