It's because adults are expected to set a good example for there children, and in these days, kids watching TV have gone up tenfold. Plus, some people may see this as an immature gesture!

Not all Women will be attracted.
They're jealous of your sense of humor so they consider it to be childish at times
Yes. There are lots of things in Sesame Street that children would not realise are funny, like skits on famous people or stereotypes. Adults would notice these things. Sesame Street has been around for a long time, so for some adults it is a part of their childhood that they like to see again. Sesame Street is made by adults. So for these and other reasons, while it is mainly for children, adults can watch and enjoy Sesame Street.
I think they want to maintain a young mind, just like me , I am around 25, but I also like cartoons, I think these shows are pure enough, it can made me forgot all unhappy things when I as a adult. That's my answer. Just like this http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090301193726AAthrcX
Kwame Nkrumah's policies were criticized because he spent too much time on Pan-African efforts and neglecting economic problems in his own country. Nkrumah was influenced by the thinking of Marcus Garvey.
Some of "the adults" realized this a long time ago.Doing nothing but watching cartoons is bad.Choosing to spend your (reasonable amount of) TV-watching time watching exclusively cartoons? Perfectly fine.
well a stereotype about college students is that their adults basically and wont do immature things and people believe cartoons are for kids because of suggestions by watching TV and it says cartoons are immature, books and etc. so people think stereotypically that college students are mature enough to not watch cartoons and are criticized when doing something stereotypically immature
Typically, cartoons are thought to be for children, and if they are watching cartoons for long periods of time, they could be considered fat slobs.
Cartoons are fun to watch, but not all the time, a person can only get ahead in this world by using the brain and study and read and learn!!
Watching cartoons all the time means you have more free time on your hands, watching them occasionally means that you either don't have time or you lack the interest.
to some in not socially excepted but to others it a great way to wake up in the morning and in some cases can relieve stress from ones life
because adults are older now they might still watch cartoons from time to time
No, but children aren't either. Sure, watching cartoons is entertaining, but I think it is meant for leisure time rather than a serious all-day event sort of thing. Not that I have any room to critisize, because when I get caught up in cartoons, I tend to spend hours watching them. So really, adults are allowed to, but they really shouldn't unless they want to become a cartoon addict, spend all day in a dark room chuckling at corny jokes, and otherwise ruin their social interactions... Watch cartoons, yeah. Just not all the time.
Well, sometimes adults should be more responsible, but once in a while its fun to relax and have a laugh here and there. Some people think it should be banned from adults (its not that big of a deal) because adults get the message that they have to be like the characters in the cartoons, and sometimes adults express those "acting like a kid" moments through actions. so just to some things up u can watch cartoons whenever you feel like it but, remember... they are CARTOONS not REALITY!!!!!
If you watch cartoons too much, you will eventually evolve into a cartoon.
There is nothing wrong with adults watching cartoons if they want to. It may release stress and give them mindless TV. I like reality TV for mindless watching. I don't have to think, I can read at the same time, answer questions on here, or take a nap and not miss anything. I like Marvin the Martian myself for cartoons. Cartoons are not made just for kids, but there are adult jokes and references in them. Even Toy Story had adult jokes in it. So, if you know a person watching cartoons leave them alone. While there's nothing wrong with Jponbac's answer above, I wanted to expand on it a bit. I would seriously question the judgement of anyone who said that Rocky and Friends or Trigun was "a bad habit" but watched (say) Entertainment Tonight or American Idol regularly. Some cartoons are not worth watching, sure. But a lot of any genre you care to name is not worth watching either, and cartoons are not inherently worse than anything else.
They want to spend time with there children.
