Why do men and women view an adult watching cartoons as weird and childish?
I think it's because early cartoons were aimed at children, specifically. Cartoons nowadays have more adult themes and references than cartoons from the early 1900's to the 1960's. Those were cartoons from a more innocent era. People are more cynical and savvy now. There are plenty of cartoons nowadays that are aimed squarely at teens and adults. 'Family Guy', 'Futurama', 'The Simpsons', and many more, are written with an adult sensibility. I am not, in the least bit, ashamed to view these cartoons. In fact, I often reference them in everyday conversation. Despite all of this, I agree that there is a stigma attached to adults watching animated shows.
Is it wrong and strange for middle aged adults to watch cartoons?
It depends if your watching it with your kids,that's even if you have kids.So put it this way,u can watch adult swim,its a channel that never gets old and basically says hey your 18 and older then watch some over rated cartoons.But you can watch some cartoons with your grand kids or just acth alone don't be embarressed.I'm 13 and i still watch spongbob.But don't watch to much cartoons or that will be a little weird.

Why do people think you act like a child if you enjoy watching cartoons everyday as a 21 year old adult?
cartoons were made for little children. but that does not stop you from watching them. Answer Watching cartoons would be a childlike activity for a 21 year old if he/she is watching them during the day when most work or go to school. It should not be interfering with what you should be doing.
