What should I doI dont Know the ans but im in the same posision I saw my cat messing around in the garden so i when out too see what he was doing and he was messing around with a baby mouse its been more than 2 hours since i took the poor baby away and it just wont stop shacking ,i have put it in a shoe box with holes in the lid but i dont know what to do with it should i keep it should i leave it alone ? but theres 1 thing that scars me is that i think its hert its leg!

If shes shaking she might be cold or hurt try warming her with your hands if you can or getting her a heating pad puttting it over HALF of her cage or box make sure she can crawl away. But if its more like twitching and not shaking all baby mice and rats do that you ll see your mouse twitch alot when she or hes asleep there strengthening there muscles

Take it to the vet if you think it is hurt! If it is wildlife there is no excuse not to take it to a vet, as most vets do NOT charge for treating wildlife.

All animals -- including humans -- shake with cold as the body attempts to generate warmth. When the normal body temperature is compromised, blood circulation retreats from the extremities, including the head, and focuses on trunk organs.

As a way to generate warmth, the body shakes -- uncontrollably -- to counter the affects of extreme cold. This is an anatomical reaction.

Because they are weak still developing muscles and dont usually have many feathers to keep them warm. Ever notice that they huddle together with thier brothers and sisters to stay warm.
