Frogs lay a lot of eggs because most of them will not survive. Some of the eggs will never develop and others will end up food for other animals. Out of the hundreds of eggs, only a fraction will make it to an adult frog.

Because tadpoles are a prey animal to a number of animals such as fish and salamanders. Having so many eggs insures that some will survive into adulthood and be able to reproduce, thus ensuring the survival of the species.

There are two ways to have babies. The first way is to have one or two children at a time and stay with them until they grow up and can take care of themselves. The other way is to have hundreds of babies at one time and hope that one of them survives.

Simply because their eggs make a 'nutritious snack' for most of the other creatures living in their habitat. Laying lots of eggs at once gives them a better chance that at least some will survive to adulthood.

Very few will survive.

By laying a large volume they help to ensure the survival of their species.

Many eggs are eaten before they hatch, many more are eaten after they hatch as tadpoles, and even more are eaten after they mature into frogs before they get a chance to mate.

Only a small percent of the eggs laid actually reach full maturity and begin the cycle again by mating.

There are many predators around which eat most of the eggs, so as to keep the population at level many eggs are laid so that at least a few of them survive.

Are most animals friendly?

Some wild animals (Rabbits, Horses, Wolves, Lions, Dolphins..etc) stay with their families and don't mix with other wild animals unless they proove that they're gonna be loyal. Some wild animals (Frogs, Fish, Sharks, Pandas..etc) like to be alone until mating season, but Frogs and Fish are often seen following each other or by each other, that can also happen, mainly Salmon.
