The United States does't send people to the Moon anymore because we've already had dozens of landings on the moon from 1969 to 1974 or whenever the last moon mission was. Been there, Done that, Got the Tee Shirt!
And it's really expensive, so we decided it wasn't a good use for our taxpayer money to keep visiting the place.
A mission to the moon requires an objective. The original objectives were to first, demonstrate that it could be done (and that the US had the technology to do it - this was part of showing that the US was better than the USSR, during the Cold War period), second, to learn something about the moon, and about space travel. Those objectives were achieved.
There are plenty of other possible objectives for space travel to the moon or elsewhere. We have only begun to do the many interesting and useful things that can be done in outer space. However it is true, as noted above, that travelling to the moon is very expensive, and at the present time, when the US is deeply in debt, has huge budget deficits, and has a number of very expensive problems, it would be difficult to spend a lot of money on space travel. The time does not seem to be right.
No
The three astronauts to fly to the moon were Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins.
The one planted on the Moon by the Apollo astronauts.
Astronauts are people who fly in space
Ummm well you know this is only a guess but even though their astronauts......wouldnt they sleep in their sleeping bags? but then again the only thing i know about astronauts is that they fly to the moon
No astronauts littered the moon.
No astronauts have died on the moon.
Astronauts fly in rockets to the moon. They need to wear special clothing and masks so they can breathe because there is no oxygen in the solar system.
Apollo 1 did not land on the moon. In fact it caught fire and killed the 3 astronauts that were to fly on it and the mission was canceled.
While on the moon the astronauts lived in their lunar module.
There were a total of 12 astronauts who walked on the moon.
The statement that astronauts on the Moon are weightless is true.
