Are bars required to serve water?

Bars are not required to serve water, and they are not required to serve free tap water either. This means that if a bar wants to charge for a glass of water or a bottle of water, it is up to the owner/manager of the establishment what the price will be.

List of foods for peanut allergy to use for a check list?

If you're asking for a list of foods that contain or might contain peanuts, here of some things I've run into trouble with (so be careful and ask at ALL restaurants): THAI FOOD--I won't even go into a Thai restaurant because I have such a strong reaction even around this food. Chinese/other Asian cuisine such as Vietnamese: often has peanuts/peanut oil: Kung pao has peanuts, as do all spring rolls I've ever seen. Many Mexican sauces--mole in particular but also many enchilada sauces Pasta sauce and/or chili often contains peanuts/peanut butter to thicken Desserts--ALWAYS ask about desserts. Even if they don't have peanuts sprinkled on them, they could be fried in peanut oil/be made with peanut flour. Veggie/Turkey burgers--one I recently found out about the hard way when my turkey burger had crushed peanuts in it! (couldn't tell by looking at it) Candy bars--almost impossible to eat with the exception of some Hershey's products. Read all labels. Popcorn--often made with peanut oil Granola bars, energy bars, trail mix--almost always made with peanuts. Ice cream at ice cream parlors: Most stores have at least one peanut ice cream. If you are going to get ice cream there AT LEAST have them use a clean scoop, if not a new batch of the ice cream. VERY DANGEROUS if there are peanuts in any of the ice creams.

Did Hollywood and big time chocolate candy bars from the 1960's have nuts in them?

Big Time Candy Bars were my favorite! When I reached a peanut in the bar or I happened upon a particularly nutty bar, it was my delight! Definitely, they had peanuts in them.
