A record of the sites you've visited will be erased, but your bookmarks will still be there.
It is the "bookmarks" icon. If the star is highlighted, then that means the page you are currently visiting is a bookmarked page. In order to add a non-bookmarked page, you simply click the star to add it to your existing bookmarks!
Bookmarks allow people to save their favorite sites or sites that they are interested in. Thanks to bookmarks, people can more easily access the websites that are important to them.

Here's a number of options:If you happen to have Google Chrome sync enabled, you can possibly get your bookmarks (thumbnails) back under Settings (Manage your synced data).If you are using another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and have saved some of the same bookmarks, you can import those into Chrome.You could also recover the bookmarks from the bookmark.bak file in your Chrome profile folder. However, if you exited out of Chrome and restarted it after you lost your bookmarks, this won't work.When you open up a new page, at the bottom is a "Most visited" tab. Click it and it will show all the pages you've previously visited. In addition, you can also look at the "Recently closed" tab. That will show you any recent sites that you exited out.
You don't favorite, you bookmark sites. Click bookmarks at the top, then add bookmarks.
To find the on bookmark it is easy to access the related sites.
Bookmarks are used to mark favorite sites or articles or other places of interest online. Several sites offer the option to store bookmarks, Delicious being one of them.
To find your last sites visited you go to your history tab and it will show you all the sites you have visited for the last week unless you are browsing in an incognito window.

Sometimes, it is important to clear out sites that are not being used. To delete bookmarks, one right clicks, and chooses delete from the drop down menu.
