A note before reading: the terms "boy" and "girl" in this Answer refer to a to a typical boy or a typical girl. Obviously, not every boy or girl can be pigeon-holed to these exact character traits.

There are three major issues that boys have with the way that girls act that drive them crazy (in a bad way) and are responsible for the vast majority of incident that provoke boys into telling each other that a girl is being crazy. The three major issues are:

  • Indecisiveness: Many girls find it difficult to make a decision, even on things that are incredibly simple such as "what to wear", "where to go", "what to do", etc. Boys will often just make a decision and if it turns out to not be optimal to make a second decision later. The way that a girl may agonize over a certain decision bothers boys immensely. Even worse is when a girl overcomplicates the decision or when she requests the boy to help her make the decision, but rejects his advice.
  • Emotional Overload: Boys have a very small emotional range and are supremely not interested in all of the nuances of girl friendships and relationships. They are also unclear as to how to react. Typically, when a boy discusses a problem, he wants a solution and is implictly asking for more information. When a girl discusses a problem, she wants reassurance that her perception of the situation is relatively accurate and that she did nothing wrong. When a boy responds to a girl's story by giving advice for solving the issue, this gets a strongly negative reaction from the girl, because from her perspective, he is not reassuring her. From his perspective, she was looking for help and then was angry precisely when he tried to help her.
  • Indirectness: Often girls will magically expect boys to know that they want something or need something and they see it as a personal insult when the boy does not intuit what the girl wanted. For example, the girl may say off-handedly five months before her birthday "that blouse looks really cute" and then expect the boy to purchase said blouse for her on her birthday. When she does not receive the blouse, she gets perturbed and the boy is bothered because he did not know what he did wrong. If she had just said, "that blouse looks really cute and perhaps you could get that for me", then the boy would have known what to do. However, for the girl, that would sound too direct and forceful.

To be honest I believe it is the other way around. According to recent studies girls were tested positive for being immature and rude by a whopping 65% more than guys!
