HELLO IF YOU HAVE TAKEN OFF THE TWO BOLTS AND STILL WONT COME OFF USE A SCREW DRIVER AND PRY THE CALIPER UP FROM BETWEEN THE ROTOR AND CALIPER ALSO YOU CAN PUSH THE CALIPER BACK TOWARDS THE INNER SPRING BETWEEN THE CALIPER AND ROTOR SITS THIS WILL PUSH THE CALIPER BACK AND GIVE YOU EXTRA CLEARANCE TO PULL UP THE CALIPER
The caliper bolts may need lubricant as the caliper slides across the metal bolts it may squeak. Or overnight brake rotors can rust so when it first moves in the morning it may squeak.
how do you change the brake pads on a 2003 S10 BLAZER To change the front pads you need to jack up blazer and pull off wheel.the brake caliper is held on by two hex head bolts.Remove these and gently pry the caliper up off the rotor. You will need a C- clamp to compress the piston back into the caliper ,so when you install the new pads ,the caliper will fit back over the rotor. put the two hex bolts back in ,and your done.
Probably has a sticky brake caliper or sticky brake caliper sliders. Who ever replaced the brake pads should have seen that.
Remove wheels Make sure parking brake is released Remove caliper mounting bolts Remove Rotor Re-install caliper (for leverage) Remove brake pads Screw piston back into caliper (threaded due to parking brake) Special tool required available at Sears or auto parts not expensive Replace pads Remove caliper Install Rotor Re-Install caliper BE SURE TO PUMP BRAKES TO RESET PADS AGAINST ROTOR PRIOR TO MOVING VEHICLE
Remove the 2 bolts from the caliper and then the 2 to the caliper bracket and just take off your rotor. Installation is in reverse of removal. Just make sure to put anti-seize on the bolts before putting them back in
front caliper two bolts on back of caliper one on top one on bottom remove both bolts an pull caliper up an off rotor that's all
You should note that the bushings fit into the holes in the caliper. So there really is enough room there. Put the bushings in the holes and fit the caliper over the rotor and work it back into place by jiggling it back and forth and down onto it. Then put the two Allen head bolts back in when the bolt holes line up.AnswerRemove caliper? From the rear?
