Well remember, they are felines and hunting is in their nature.
Cats eat birds because it is part of their diet, and even if they are fed by you or someone else, they will still hunt birds because it is their instinct.

Domestic cats have a primal hunting instinct they don't really need. Very often, they don't eat the animals they kill.

Please tell me you got that question backwards on accident....I have never seen a bird eat a cat xD...if you meant cats eating birds than the above answer is definitely on target.
