cats go in a litter box while its being cleaned 'cause its their natural instint.its like humans.you wouldent stand next to a toilet and have an accedent.cats are trained if you get them from a shelter.that means they will go to the bathroom in a litter box unless you lock them in a room without a litter box.if your cat has a liter you have to train the kittens to go to the bathroom in a litter box. also they want attention
